Rumba Rhum and Food (map + website)
Rumba specializes in…you guessed it…rum drinks! They have an extensive drink list to try. I highly recommend their empanadas — the prasty was flaky and delicious! Did you know? There is another bar attached to Rumba called Inside Passage.
My recommendation(s): Chorizo empanada & Daiquiri No. 3.
Moon Tree Sushi and Tapas (map + website)
I have been dreaming of Moon Tree’s crispy rice rolls since our visit…they are pictured above on the right! This is a great spot to share and try a bunch of menu items since it’s tapas style.
My recommendation(s): Crispy Rice Rolls…they’re so good, you will want to order a 2nd serving.
This pizza spot is one of our favorites! The pepperoni and caramelized garlic pie is *chef’s kiss* but honestly, all of the pies we’ve tried have been amazing. You can’t go wrong here. Dantini is currently only a take-out spot so you can bring it next door to Holy Mountain Brewing (and have a beer or two!) or bring it home to enjoy.
My recommendation(s): For a red pizza, pepperoni and caramelized garlic pie. For a white pizza, add mushrooms to the standard white pie.
Molly Moon’s Homemade Ice Cream (map – multiple locations + website)
You can’t go wrong with any of their flavors (truly!) but my go-to is the Yeti. It’s sweet cream ice cream with homemade vanilla bean caramel, granola, and chocolate bits…the perfect ratio of salty, sweet, and crunchy!
My recommendation(s): A scoop (or two or three!) of Yeti.
Aslan Brewing Co (map + website)
This space has bold and bright murals on the wall with lots of space to play cards, chat, eat, and sip organic beers. They have both beers on draft and a fridge stocked with a variety of cans. Despite the large selection, I always order the same beer…the Rosé Sauvage (a champagne-inspired Belgian ale with raspberries).
My recommendation(s): The Rosé Sauvage.
Connected by a window, Local Tide is next door to Aslan Brewing Co so you can order a beer from Aslan and eat at Local Tide or vice versa. I highly recommend the shrimp toast dipped in the hot chili oil mixed with the mayo…so spicy and delicious!!
My recommendation(s): Shrimp Toast.
Outlander Brewing and Pub (map + website)
I love this cozy spot for a beer and a game. They have a whole closet full of boards game to play while you drink some of their fun rotating beers (some past flavors include Peanut Butter Stout, Honey Basil Ale, and Monster Mash Raisin Pumpkin…). And, there is both indoor and outdoor seating for when the sun is shining!
My recommendation(s): Honey Basil Ale & Homemade Beer Dip.
Champagne Diner (map + website)
This is a trendy diner with modern yet hearty menu selections! I had the mushroom risotto with hanger steak and it was wonderful! They also have free parking in front of the building…a huge plus!
My recommendation(s): Mushroom Risotto with Hanger Steak, Truffle Fries (I typically don’t like blue cheese, but this blue cheese aioli is delicious), & Strawberry-Cardamom Mocktail.
